Ireland’s first PassivHaus Certified pharmacy building, with a town-centre apartment over. This project won the RIAI Sustainable Award in 2015. Quirke’s pharmacy business ran on this site for three generations, but the ancient structure was brutally cold in winter. Not anymore! The whole premises is heated by one radiator, overheating risk is eliminated by solar controls, lighting is all low-energy of course. Compared to the old premises, the Carbon emissions were reduced by 90% annually!
