On the 1st of November I am celebrating 10 years in practice as a self-employed architect. Those years have been good to me, and I hope I have been good to my clients and the public who use some of the projects I worked on. I am already looking forward to the next ten years, and as part of that process have taken the step of re-launching the business as a limited company, The PassivHaus Architecture Company, which you will hear more of in the future, I’m sure.

As well as looking forward, I think it is an apposite moment to look back at the highs and lows of the first decade of practice, the highs being the completed work, the lows being the designs that never broke ground.
